Want to step up your Insta game? Then you have to know when to post in order to score more likes.
Needless to say, a lot of factors are involved: #hashtags, time zones, and your specific audience. But perhaps the most important is the time of day you post.
According to the Hootsuite blog, the best time to post to Instagram is noon to 1PM throughout the week.
Amanda Wood, Hootsuite marketing specialist, explains that most people are on their phones at that time.
“There’s no doubt our community scrolls through Instagram during their lunch hour,” she said.
Later, an uber popular marketing app, agreed that lunch hours (11AM to 1PM) are top times to post, adding that another popular time slot is in the evening from 7 to 9PM.
The one time frame to avoid? Don't post anything from 3 to 4PM. All social media managers tend to agree that there's not much "liking" happening during the hour.
Time zone is another important factor. When most people are sleeping on the East Coast, things are still going strong in the West. Not to mention, you'll need to consider things across the pond, as well. For example, the United Kingdom is five hours ahead of New York. So, if you're looking to snag some likes from the Brits, it calls for a little math. But, according to Hopper, a UK-based Instagram marketer, evenings are prime times there, too.
So, after all that, when are the best times to post? The answer – during lunch (11AM to 1PM) and in the evening (6 to 9PM). Additionally, a basic rule of thumb to gain followers is to post about 2 to 3 times a day. You can use your new found knowledge to schedule posts, accordingly.
Now, lovelies, get to it!
